NJHS hosts three 4.0 Nation events throughout the year celebrating students that have achieved a 4.0 GPA. Our 4.0 Nation events are a blast! We have music, a fun surprise and you will receive a certificate showing you earned a 4.0 for the quarter. Hope to see you at our future 4.0 Nation events! Dream More Become More!
Olive Peirce Today (OPT) is the daily broadcast watched by each OPMS student every morning. The purposes of OPT are to 1. Communicate important information every student needs to succeed at OPMS, and 2. Celebrate the accomplishments of OPMS Students. OPT Club students are leaders and must maintain a 3.0 GPA. They are actors and engineers, artists and technicians. Those open to learn all aspects of videography and live broadcast become OPT Producers and literally run the entire show! And some of our students have gone on to work in Film and Television! While they may have already had an interest, OPT is a place where they can develop their skills and work out a clearer vision of their path. This year, we are exploring a new opportunity for both our students and the community: Sponsorship. A few businesses will be invited to sponsor OPT. As part of the sponsorship, our students will gain real-world experience by producing advertisements for our sponsors, to be seen on OPT and/or social media! ASB stands for Associated Student body and it represents the interests and goals of the entire student body of OPMS.
All ASB students are leaders both in the classroom and on our campus as a whole.
ASB students will:
Help plan school activity including after school events, lunch activities, spirit dress up days, community outreach, fundraising, and more!
Additionally, ASB students will hold regular meetings and learn the basics of business as they have the opportunity to approve and decide how school funds are raised and spent.
